NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, June 18, 2015 ­— The Automotive Management Institute (AMi) announced the members of its 2015-2016 Board of Trustees. Sheri HAMilton, AAM, ASA- Midwest, Kansas City, Mo., was elected as chair; Darrell Amberson, AAM, LaMettry’s Collision Inc., Minneapolis, Minn., elected as vice chair; Bob Keith, AAM, CARSTAR, Leawood, Kan., re-elected as treasurer; and Gary Keyes, AAM, E&M Motors Inc., Stuart, Fla., elected as secretary. Other board members include Tony Passwater, AAM, AEII, Indianapolis, Ind.; Terry Wynter, AAM, Terry Wynter Auto Service Center, Fort Myers, Fla., and Dan Risley, president, Automotive Service Association, North Richland Hills, Texas. “I look forward to working with this group of trustees, who represent such a diverse range of industry experience and backgrounds. This will be important as we work to ensure Automotive Management Institute’s future success,” stated AMi President Jeff Peevy. The members of AMi’s Board of Trustees represent both mechanical and collision repair shops of varying sizes, and industry associations and companies. Application Deadline is June 15 North Richland Hills, Texas,May 12, 2015 — The Automotive Management Institute (AMi) is accepting applications for the $1,000 Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket “High Octane” Scholarship. AMi’s resource development effort, EXCEL, in conjunction with Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket, established the scholarship, which is awarded to an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division member who strives to be, or is presently working in a management capacity. Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket, of Overland Park KS (formerly known as Automotive Specialty Markets) is now a division of Arrowhead General Insurance Agency and continues as a leader in the automotive business insurance industry, and provides the scholarship program specifically to address the educational needs of automotive service and repair businesses. The scholarship will be applied toward the recipient’s expenses to attend the 2015 Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Detroit, July 23-25. Application Deadline is June 15 North Richland Hills, Texas, April 9, 2015 ­— The Automotive Management Institute (AMi) is accepting applications for the 2015 Emil Stanley Merit Award. The scholarship is awarded annually to an individual who works in an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division member-business and who displays a desire to improve their business skills through management education. The 2015 award marks the 25th year in which AMi and ASA have honored Emil Stanley with this commemorative management-oriented scholarship. The award recipient will receive $1,000 toward expenses to attend the 2015 International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) in Detroit, July 23 - 25. NACE, the world’s largest collision repair event, is sponsored by ASA, and offers a comprehensive lineup of AMi, industry and technical seminars, an exposition with hundreds of diverse exhibiting companies displaying the latest equipment, products and services and technology available to today’s collision repair industry.
